Ken Smith's experience in acquisition and divestiture projects, contracts, negotiations, title and fieldwork come from over 30 years in the oil/gas and energy industries. After obtaining his degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University and later becoming a Certified Professional Landman, he spent time as a landman at Robert B. Ross & Association, Inc. (1980-1983) before working as a consulting petroleum landman in Midland. In 1984, Ken became district land manager for Abraxas Petroleum Corporation where he was responsible for all phases of the land department in Midland. From 1987 to 2010, he worked as a consulting petroleum landman throughout West Texas, the Texas Panhandle, Eastern Shelf, and Southeast and Northwest New Mexico. In 2010 he became a staff landman for ConocoPhillips, becoming Land Supervisor for the Barnett Shale and later serving as Land Supervisor for the Rocky Mountains, he was the initial Land development supervisor for the Niobrara Project in Denver, Colorado. He now serves as the Land Manager for JVA Operating Company.

Amy founded and developed an offshore marketing firm in Tegucigalpa Honduras, with employees in Costa Rica, Philippines, India and Argentina.
